an almost klaralund
what color? what patterns? thank you everyone for particpated in my quest for designing the ultimate whispering pine style sweater. i am still thinking and have yet to make up my mind. previous experiences have proven that too much thinking is sometimes useless so i may just pick up the needles this weekend and see how all the colors play out.
and yes, i will be knitting the cobalt blue cardi next. the swatch looks promising, it should make a nice cozy cardigan. the stitch gauge was bigger than the pattern, which is a good thing as i want the sweater to fall between the smallest (33.5 in) and the next available (38 in) sizes. what a difference. i know!
so who will be knitting for christmas this year? not me! i did that last year and it was quite excurciating... i felt like a repressed elf in santa's factory. urgh! i will knit a sweater for my husband, though. he has been waiting for a tailor fit sweater since last year.

Your klaralund looks great, can't wait to see you wear it when it's finished.

I ain't no Santa's elf either!Klaralund looks good already. In fact, you could probably just drape yourself in the pieces and the Noro yarn would take care of the rest =)But I still look forward to seeing it finished.

Wooohooo! I can't wait to see you Klaralund all finished. What color number is that?No Christmas knitting for me either! I felt like I was working in a sweatshop last year AND I pulled a knitting all nighter on Christmas Eve.. It was horrible. But at least everyone liked their presents!

Klaralund is looking great! I wouldn't worry about the fit until after you block the whole thing - mine grew a little bit, even though I separately blocked each piece.I'm going to do a little Christmas knitting, only because I have yarn I HAVE to knit up to make room for my new Christmas stash (that's assuming I'll get yarn for Christmas!)

No knitting for Christmas here. Well, OK, a wee bit, but only things I've already made up. Klaralund is looking fabulous!

Klaralund is looking great. I love those colors. I'm knitting 2 (maybe 3) things for Christmas. I'm a little stressed, but know it's still doable. Ask me again in a month and we'll see how my pulse is. :-)

I have yet to make anything for my husband. We have been married for 12 years and together for 5 before that! I am going to make him a pair of socks. He is happy.Beth (big geek)

Ohhh, my gosh, Klaralund looks incredible.I'm mired in Christmas knitting as we speak. You're the smart one.Oh - and your original sweater looks amazing. I love the striping along the sides - personally, I would do the same colors in a different pattern, preserving the striping order but changing the width and height of the color blocks. Can't wait to see it done!

i'm going to try and stay away from christmas knitting too - there's enough pressures in life without self-imposing that one!

I love the colors of Klaralund! I don't think I'm doing any Christmas gifts either. I'm still not sure but I'm leaning towards no! I wouldn't mind knitting the Klaralund for Christmas though -- for myself!

Kraralund is looking great. Very nice colorways. Cant wait to see more progress. Errmmm, I'm not knitting anything either, I think this year I would rather hit the mall and save those precious hours for my own stuff. I'm going to knit a pair of sock or vest for hubby, that's it.
